Asian Heritage Month

Asian Heritage Month is an opportunity to learn more about the diverse cultures and histories of Asian communities in Canada, as well as to acknowledge the many achievements and contributions of people of Asian origin. Having journeyed to Canada from East Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, Southwest and Southeast Asia, these communities bring a rich cultural heritage representing many languages, ethnicities and religious traditions.

This  Month is also a time to recognize the strides made and the challenges overcome by Asian communities to thrive in Canada over the last 2 centuries and beyond. It is also a reminder for all of us to stand in Solidarity against anti-Asian racism and discrimination.
