16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

Starting on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (November 25), the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign raises awareness about gender-based violence, with a focus on its disproportionate impact on equity-deserving groups, including Indigenous women, women of colour, 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, and people with disabilities. Indigenous women, for example, are 12 times more likely to be murdered or go missing compared to other women in Canada.
